Travel altar with three-part structure and hand-carved figures made of dark wood.
At the center sits a Buddha figure in a meditative pose, flanked by two standing companion figures. Metal hinges allow it to be folded completely for transport. The underside bears a handwritten reference to Barkhor/Lhasa, presumably documented as the place of origin.
Dimensions: Height approx. 15 cm, width closed approx. 8 cm (approx. 5.9 × 3.1 inches), open approx. 18 cm (approx. 7.1 inches), depth approx. 7 cm (approx. 2.8 inches).
Very well preserved, with slight signs of wear.
This portable altar was likely acquired at the Barkhor market in Tibet in 1997. It is suitable as a collection addition, decorative piece, or for spiritual practice.
You will receive the altar without decoration.
